Our Mission
In 1999, a small group of local home improvement experts decided to run a joint ad campaign, a campaign which proved to be very successful. The group then called around to other local business owners and concluded that this type of collaborative effort had been lacking in Saginaw.
After initially running ads in the Saginaw News, the campaign took on a much broader scope. Today, what is now the Independent Business Association of Saginaw County has a membership comprised of quality, professional, locally-owned businesses and has become the only true voice of local companies.
There are no dues or standard meetings, just a camaraderie among firms that are fighting the same battle with out-of-town businesses. With the goal of good old-fashioned customer service and keeping the dollars locally, the association has expanded its services and awareness. Recently, other forms of media include billboards, radio, television, and our own website.
